Gringoguard wants to be a community of people who have walked the same path and help honestly. No glossy promises β just real experiences from people who were exactly where you are now.
Bureaucracy that takes three times longer than promised. Commitments that aren't. Sem sistema. We know the feeling. We laugh about it. And we help you through it.

Converting your driver's license. Sounds like a morning.
You need a certified translation β made from a photo of your license. Fine. Then Poupatempo also wants a letter from the German consulate defining the license categories.
The letter is generic β not personalized, valid for all Germans. It could have been requested once and used for everyone. But no: every gringo gets sent there personally. Every time. From the beginning.
"Four appointments. One license. Plenty of material." π€
Account opened. The employee smiles: "I'll message you on WhatsApp when everything's through."
One week later β no WhatsApp, no confirmation, nothing. Back to the branch. That exact same employee is standing right there. He looks at you like he's never seen you before.
"Who handled the account opening last week?"
"The WhatsApp message never came. Neither did the memory." π±
Ordered two bananas to go. Got them peeled on a plate.
"To go?" β Brief pause β then naked into a green bag.
"Welcome to Brazil." π§π·
"Gringoguard helps you navigate Brazil β not reinvent your life."
